Jacqueline A. Rappel, Esq.- Of Counsel
After graduating from Hofstra University School of Law in 1992, Jacqueline Rappel began working for a small firm that specialized in construction law. Working for a small firm she got a tremendous amount of experience handling all aspects of a construction litigation case, from mechanic’s lien foreclosures to multi-million dollar breach of contract actions. From there Ms. Rappel began working for Speyer & Perlberg, LLP, a firm specializing in first party litigation for the carriers. She spent the next eleven years of her career with the firm and handled hundreds of insurance coverage disputes on behalf of the insurance carriers – from conducting EUO’s, to writing coverage analysis, to handling the complex litigations that ensued. Approximately five years ago Ms. Rappel opened her own practice working as “of counsel” to a number of different firms. She continues to handle all aspects of civil litigation, with her major focus on insurance coverage disputes, now working for the policy holders. The experience she has had over the years, working for defendants as well as plaintiffs, enables Ms. Rappel to fill many roles for clients and offer a unique insight into how each side thinks and negotiates.
